Kathmandu: During the fourth plenary meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Chairperson and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' proposed a restructuring of the party's central committee.

The meeting, held at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, saw the participation of 18 leaders who shared their views on various aspects, including the party's organizational structure, working style, effectiveness, and the government's performance.

Chair Dahal's proposal aimed to streamline and manage the organizational structures by sending party members to the ward-level and conducting a three-month special campaign. Additionally, he suggested organizing a statute convention to further enhance the party's efficiency. He expressed optimism about the government's activities under his leadership, which has instilled new hope among the people.

The central committee meeting also focused on strengthening national unity and sovereignty, and it sought to draw conclusions to achieve this objective. Notably, the meeting unanimously passed the statute amendment proposal presented by Chair Dahal.

To make the CPN (Maoist Centre) more inclusive, it was decided that at least 25 percent of the central committee members would be women. As a result, the committee will now comprise 409 members, reflecting the party's commitment to promoting gender representation within its ranks. This decision marks a step forward in ensuring broader participation and representation of diverse voices in the party's leadership.
